Welcome to Skidden House, not only the First and Oldest Hotel in St Ive's, Cornwall, dating back to the 16th Century.. but also the first establishment to sell Guinness in the United Kingdom, (Circa 1780).....

Skidden House Hotel was built in the 16th Century and has throughout it's colourful 500
year old history been welcoming guests to this wonderful resort of St. Ives, located here
in the world famous county of Cornwall, one of the United Kingdom's most popular
tourist and holiday makers destination.

As it is the first and oldest hotel in St. Ives, needless to say it commands a superb
position at the bottom of Skidden Hill, ideal for all the amenities such as being yards
from the fishing harbour & sandy beaches, shops, bars, restaurants, & transport links.

The Hotel underwent refurbishment in 2002 when it was purchased by it's current
owners Dave & Nina Sharland. Keeping things well in the family, the responsibility of
management falls with Terri Jones, a friend of Nina and Dave's.
